Matcha Sifter / Tea Strainer ‘Taiko’

This beautiful ‘Taiko’ Chakoshi is ideal as a sifter for preparing matcha, or as a tea strainer. It is designed in the shape of a Japanese Taiko drum. It is hand crafted from Japanese Zelkova Elm, and finished with a lacquer coat.

It is made by Gato Mikio, a craft studio in Yamanaka Japan, a region famous for ‘Urushi’ lacquerware.
